What is an impacted major?

If I am admitted into an impacted major, do I still need to worry about minimum requirements?

Impacted major and capped major are interchangeable. Impacted major is a program within departments that restrict admission due to high student demand. These majors restrict admission in different ways (e.g. minimum GPA in pre-requisite courses, applying prior to exceeding certain units of post-high school coursework).
