There are several ways that students can earn credit while in high school: Advanced Placement Courses, Dual Credit/Concurrent Enrollment, Dual Enrollment, and International Baccalaureate courses.

AP, IB classes and Dual Enrollment are great ways to earn college credit during high school. Also, consider summer programs at colleges and universities that may include coursework that can later be used for credit. Some of these programs have a tuition, but there can be financial aid and scholarships! Some examples include: Carnegie Mellon https://admission.enrollment.cmu.edu/pages/pre-college-apea UPenn https://www.sas.upenn.edu/summer/programs/highschool/precollege Carleton College http://apps.carleton.edu/summer/ Emory Pre-College http://www.precollege.emory.edu/index.html And many more!
