Due to test dates being canceled, and problems students have gaining access to testing locations as a result of COVID-19, hundreds of colleges and universities nationwide are going SAT and ACT optional for students applying to college for Spring or Fall 2021.
Below is a list of schools that have announced they are test-optional (or were already test-optional before COVID). This list may not be complete. There may be more who have not yet announced changes to their testing requirements.
Testing requirements may differ for international students. Check with the schools you are applying to, because while some may not require the ACT or SAT, they may recommend it, or recommend other test requirements for all students and/or specific majors.
In addition, many require test scores in order to be considered for merit or other scholarships, and others may have additional stipulations.
