"We wanted to let you know that our daughter got her acceptance letter to Stanford. This would not be possible without John’s guidance. He was so helpful throughout the entire process, supported her in all of her endeavors, and provided his amazing expertise. He worked tirelessly with her and we don’t know what we would have done without him."
"After our first conversation many months ago, I felt very connected and knew that Trevor would be in good hands during his college application process. You created a spark for him and got him going. Our weekly conversations made me feel confident that Trevor was on track. Your conversations with Trevor really helped him to find the schools that were he right fit for him and to establish a relationship with both coaches and admissions."
"As parents, it was a huge relief to have an expert advise our daughter on what she needs to do to get into the best colleges for her. The best investment we ever made."

"As a parent of international student, I was not fully aware of the process and competitiveness associated with getting into top colleges in the US. Our SpanOne's College Admissions Counselor, Ms. Chiristine, guided us step by step through the complete college research and applications. To our surprise, our son got into top rated undergraduate business school, his first choice. I have already recommended SpanOne to some of my friends."
"It was a GREAT eye-opener for us as first timers! Thank you."
"I absolutely love it here. Yes it is different from California but I think this change in setting was great. The combined BS/MD Medical Scholars Program is not too bad, it can be stressful but it is a good way to get ahead for med school. Thank you for all of your help!!"
"Being able to work side-by-side with John during my stressful college application period has been a huge help. At the beginning of the application period I was scared that I would not get accepted to any of my top choice colleges. I had a 1730 SAT composite score (which is not very promising for the colleges that I was applying to). With some great luck we found John. John helped me with the UC application and the Common Application. John talked with me and tried to gather as much as possible about my life experiences and soon helped me identify the best possible material for my personal statement. After gathering some great topics for my college essay supplements, we put together a great college application essay. He then helped me clean-up and develop my writing until I was telling what I think are really important stories that showed the colleges who I really am and want to be. Three months later I have gotten acceptances from Claremont McKenna College, Pepperdine, UC Irvine, UC Davis, UC Santa Barbara, and many other great universities. These universities all have acceptance rates that are 35% or lower. I received a $23,000 scholarship from the University of San Diego. Without John's help and guidance I would have definitely not been accepted to any of these universities."
"It’s great news…I am excited to be able to move on and apply to medical school. I wanted to thank you for all your help. It’s your help that really made a difference. Thank you again."
"Things have sure changed since I went to college 30 years ago. As a parent it was overwhelming trying to figure out where to start. How many schools should we apply to? How do we choose which ones? And so many deadlines, SAT, ACT, applications, letters of recommendations etc...You want your child to have the very best opportunity at a successful college experience and that begins with finding the right fit in a college. We found Christine Luksza-Paravicini and could not have been more pleased. She held our hand through the process and also stayed in close touch with our son to make sure he was on track with his essays, testing dates, and everything else he needed to do. She went over his essays several times until she and our son felt like they were perfect. Our son applied to 12 schools and got into 11, most with great scholarships. You are going to spend so much money on your child's education, its worth investing in the foundation. We highly recommend Christine!"
"Peter, you are more than a counselor. You guided our daughter and us so well through the college application preparation and choosing right colleges. We were pleasantly surprised that she got into her dream college, Emory. She will always appreciate your help and support. Once again, thank you!"
"I just wanted to say thank you again. Sunshine and I are at the college. She moved in the dorms and classes start Monday."
"We started working with a SpanOne college counselor in our son's sophomore year. It was one of the best decisions that we ever took. Our advisor is not only helping our son plan and prepare for college, but also brought a sense of confidence and calmness to a very anxious situation."
"My SpanOne college counselor guided me through the entire college admissions process. She found the best college for my interests & helped get the financial assistance my parents needed. A dream come true!"
"Thank you again for the whole team who helped so many families!"
"My son's college application process is going very well. DeEnna is absolutely awesome. She is a great counselor and is very committed. Abhinav is very much pleased to work with her and they are a fabulous team. We are so glad we chose her for helping us navigate through the college application process."
"Thanks again for all the help. I really doubt I would have gotten through this as relatively stress-less-ly as I did without your help, Christine. Thank you."
"Applying to college is inevitably a daunting, exhausting, and confusing process, and I was tackling it alone. The start of my senior year was messy; I had just switched schools and had no reliable counselor to turn to. Even prior to this situation, I had already worked with several college counselors who, despite being helpful, were not as encouraging and accessible as I wanted them to be. SpanOne provided me with exactly what I needed to succeed: a counselor who supported and guided me through every step of the college process. As soon as I began working with Lawrence, we were having conversations about my goals. Our discussions were focused on my strengths and how I could tailor them into my application. Applying to college is a self reflective process, and Lawrence always made an effort to make me proud of what I accomplished throughout my high school career. His positive outlook impacted me beyond the application process, as I gained the confidence I needed to succeed in any pursuit. I learned to transform my toxic mindset that “I am a flawed applicant that colleges will never choose” into “I am a talented applicant that will choose my college”. When constructing my college list, Lawrence was never overbearing. He often made suggestions, ensuring that my list had the balance it needed and the schools that I hadn’t initially considered. Vanderbilt, for example, is a school that Lawrence recommended to me. I had never heard of it, and it’s urban environment contrasted from what I had told Lawrence I was looking for. However, he knew it was a school that I would love and thrive in. We constructed a list that satisfied me, and I appreciate that Lawrence encouraged me to be ambitious and adventurous with my options. Lawrence then helped me set deadlines for myself, proofread and brainstorm ideas for my essays, and submit the final product to colleges. He also worked very closely with my mom on financial aid. I consider this a huge success, as most of my FA packages met nearly 100% of my demonstrated need. When decision month finally came, Lawrence was my #1 fan, often asking for updates and cheering or supporting me in times of happiness and disappointment. My college process culminated in me choosing to attend Vanderbilt University, a choice that was heavily influenced from the guidance of Lawrence. Without him, I’m not quite sure where I would be attending, or if I would’ve even been able to survive the college admissions process. Lawrence is a professional, a friend, and a supporter. I know that every step of the way, he was determined to make sure I would be happy with the outcome., and I, without a doubt, absolutely am. The work he has done with me has not only changed the course of my future, but the way I view myself. He believed in me, and in turn, I now believe in myself."
"I wanted to drop you a note to tell you how happy I am with the support and guidance Jeff provided to my son during his college search. Of the 9 schools he applied to, he was accepted at 6 and waitlisted at 1. So it is clear that Jeff steered him in the right direction in terms of putting together a list of possibilities. He also developed a nice rapport with my son and did the right amount of nudging in order to get him to stay on track throughout the year and made the process much less stressful for me. I will be happy to highly recommend both Jeff and SpanOne to any prospective clients, so don't hesitate to give my name and email if helpful."
